Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in West Bengal’s Uluberia, supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wore t-shirts, with ‘Raag Keno Didi’ written on them, reported ANI. The statement literally means, “Why Angry, Didi?”, referring to West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Gandhi.

Assembly elections are underway in the state, in which Banerjee is seeking another term as the CM. She’s receiving a tough fight from the BJP that is eyeing its first rule in the state.
The TMC chief is contesting from Nandigram, where polling is being held in the second phase on Thursday. She is contesting against her former aide-turned-adversary, Suvendu Adhikari, who is contesting on BJP’s ticket.
West Bengal Assembly polls are being held in eight phases, from March 27 till April 29. Votes will be counted on May 2.
