The controversy surrounding the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput was on Tuesday played out through slogans with the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, arrested in a drug case related to the trial, sporting a black T-shirt with a slogan ‘Roses are red/ Violets are are blue/ Let’s smash patriarchy/ Me and you.’
Soon after Rhea, 28, arrived for the investigation with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sporting the T-shirt, the slogan began circulated all over social media with many Bollywood celebrities Including actors like Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar and Jim Sarbh joining the trend to ‘smash patriarchy’ with some using hashtag #justiceforrhea in their captions.
Amid the growing Bollywood support for Rhea, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti posted her own version of the slogan that read, “Roses are Red/ Violets are Blue/Let’s Fight for The Right/ Me and You”. She also used the caption #JusticeforSushantSinghRajput along with a trident symbol depicting Lord Shiva of whom Sushant was a devotee.
In another post, she hinted at a pattern behind so many Bollywood personalities supporting Rhea. “We can use our grey cells and figure out easily why there are so many supporters rising all of sudden once the drug angle has come out. Be rest-assured we are not fools, just waiting for the whole truth to come out and then we’ll see whr r these supporters! Dead can’t speak so blame it on the dead! Shame!! #WorldUnitedForSSRJustice,” she has posted.
The NCB on Tuesday arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty over drug charges in connection with the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The anti-drug probe bureau has, however, not found any illegal material in her possession.
