A Central Bureau of Investigation court on Wednesday acquitted all 32 accused, including BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Uma Bharti and Kalyan Singh, in the Babri Masjid demolition case, reported news agency PTI.

The court said that there was no conclusive proof against accused.

LK Advani told ANI that he welcomes the decision by the court. 

Murli Manohar Joshi, one of the accused in the case, told ANI that everyone should now concentrate on the construction of Ram Mandir. “It’s a historic decision by the court. This proves that no conspiracy was hatched for December 6 incident in Ayodhya. Our program and rallies were not part of any conspiracy. We are happy, everyone should now be excited about Ram Mandir’s construction,” he was quoted by ANI, as saying.

BJP leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted after the verdict was delivered.

“I welcome the decision of a special court in Lucknow not to engage in any conspiracy of 32 persons including L K Advani, Kalyan Singh, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, Umaji in the Babri Masjid demolition case. This decision has proved that even if it’s late justice has been served,” Singh tweeted.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, too, welcomed the decision.

Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri in his reaction said, “Truth Prevails”.

Deputy chief minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted, “I was witness to the entire incident of 6th Dec. It was all spontaneous no conspiracy.I was conducting the meeting from dais I was surprised when some Kar Sewaks climbed Babri str.Advaniji was unhappy. Satyameva Jayate.”
