Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday warned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers against those trying to peddle misleading narratives in the country covers issues such as the citizens register, farm and labour laws. Speaking on the 41st foundation day of the BJP, he exhorted workers to counter such elements

“A new development is being noticed in the country. Fake and misleading narratives are being created on issues such as the CAA, farm and labour laws … They are those people who are either not able to accept defeat or do it for personal gains or have  a strong dislike for the BJP. But this will harm the country  in the long run”, the PM said in a virtual address. PM Modi urged the BJP workers to be on alert against such elements and foil their designs.

“Our mantra has been “Vyakti Se Bada Dal Aur Dal Se Bada Desh”. This tradition  continues to this day. We fulfilled Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s vision (of one India), scrapped Article 370 and gave Kashmir the constitutional right,” the PM added.

Modi also hit out at those who he said have often dubbed the BJP as an “election-winning machine”, and accused them of double standards, saying rival parties and their leaders are lauded when they win.
