Although Gigi Hadid and her singer husband Zayn Malik didn’t officially announce the name of their newborn daughter but the supermodel’s updated Instagram bio reads as ‘Khai’s mom’ thereby adding all the speculation around the toddler’s name.
The couple welcomed
their baby girl in September 2020 which the singer announced on his Twitter
handle. He shared a picture of the baby, clutching Malik’s hand along with the
caption, “Our baby girl is
here, healthy & beautifulFolded handsRed heartto try put into words how i
am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny
human is beyond my understanding.Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine,
& thankful for the life we will have together.”
Soon after this, their fans started celebrating Little Khai’s name revelation. While some of them started guessing the meaning of it, others were totally in awe of the name.
One fan commented that Khai means ‘crowned’ in Arabic while another fan wrote “Khai Malik Hadid, you’re so lucky for the family you have, please take care of them, we love you we love you without meeting yetSparkling heart”. “Welcome to zquad, khai ! here you will always have your source of infinite love,” wrote another user expressing his happiness.

Malik is of British-Pakistani origin while Hadid’s father Mohamed Hadid is from Palestine.
Some fans also found a tattoo of ‘Khai’ on the singer’s wrist written in Arabic. Even the couple’s car number initials are GZK, meaning Gigi, Zayn, and Khai.
Earlier in December 2020, the supermodel announced on her Instagram stories that she has returned to her work for the first time after the birth of her daughter. She shared a video on her story shooting herself while sitting on a black leather sofa and captioned it as “Would say back 2 work BUT bein a mama is a job like no otherrrr.” “BACK IN THE OFFICE”.
The couple never showed their daughter’s face on social media but her rare appearance was always shared by Hadid and Malik on their social media.
