Bottom tabled side Sunrisers Hyderabad beat third placed
side Royal Challengers Bangalore in a thrilling last ball encounter. The 52nd
fixture of the latest edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was played at
the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Virat Kohli’s side won the toss and invited Hyderabad to bat
first. The team lost their first wicket early on as Abhishek Sharma was caught
by Glenn Maxwell in the second over of the game.
However, Hyderabad managed to make a comeback into the game
after a strong partnership between Jason Roy and Kane Williamson.

They looked to be in a strong position after scoring 105
runs in 14 overs with just three wickets lost but that is when RCB made their
comeback.
The bowling attack led by Harshal Patel, Dan Christian and
Yuzvendra Chahal limited the batting side’s total to 141 runs. It looked like
an easy chase for a batting line up which consists of Virat Kohli, AB de
Villiers and Glenn Maxwell but that wasn’t the case.

Bangalore’s skipper Virat Kohli departed from the pitch in
the very first over on Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s delivery. RCB were down by 3 wickets
for 38 runs in 7 overs and looked to be in a lot of trouble.
That’s when man in form Glenn Maxwell came out to bat and
scored a quick knock of 40 runs in 25 balls before getting run out by Kane
William.

(not out) but it was not enough to take his side to victory.
RCB needed 6 runs in 2 balls but they were unable to do so
even with Mr. 360 (AB de Villiers) on strike.
Hyderabad was under pressure to perform after an extremely
poor season. The team recorded their third win of the season from 13 matches.
Kane Williamson’s side were the first side to get knocked
out of the tournament and Wednesday’s victory will bring some solace to the franchise.
