The NBA Finals inch closer to a conclusion, with Game 6 likely to be the last one of the series. Golden State Warriors currently lead 3-2 against rivals Boston Celtics. The Eastern Conference champions walk a tightrope on Thursday and statistics are also not on their side.

Here are three things to watch out for at Game 6 of the NBA Finals:

Stephen Curry’s possible bounceback

Stephen Curry, the star player for the Golden State Warriors, has been in a slump. He had his lowest scoring final game earlier this week and added 16 points and missed all nine of his 3-point attempts.

It was the first time in 133 career playoff games that Curry did not make at least one 3-pointer. It also snapped a streak of 233 games(regular season, playoffs, and play-in games) with a 3-pointer made.  

But with the championship title at stake, Curry might just make a late comeback.

A high-scoring game

When two conference champions clash, it is expected that the game will be a spectacle. But so far all games of the ongoing finals have been low scoring, with Game 1 being the exception.

It was the only time when either of the teams touched the 120-point mark in the ongoing finals. The second-highest tally came from Boston Celtics in Game 3, when the team put up 116 points and beat Golden State Warriors.

Boston Celtics living to fight another day

The finals are at a crucial juncture for both teams. But Golden State Warriors have a bit more wiggle room than rivals Boston Celtics.

According to statistics provided by the NBA, the team that seals a victory in Game 5 after a deadlock takes the trophy — and bragging rights — 82.2% of the time. Boston Celtics will have to go all-in on Thursday night and then worry about a possible Game 7.
