As we approach the decisive phase of the Tokyo Olympics, which commenced on July 23, all teams are in rush to push up their medals tally and what we are witnessing is intense cut-throat competition.
Although the United States had an amazing outing on Sunday, the country, with 20, still stands second in the gold medal tally behind China (24). However, they have leapt past the Chinese contingent in the total medal count with 23 bronze and 16 silver medals along with the aforementioned tally of gold medals.
But come Day 11, they will be hoping to extend their lead over China or probably cruise past them.
For the American contingent, the day will start with Jack Hobson Leverett III and Henry Turner Leverett representing them in the men’s 25-metre pistol qualification. Further in shooting, Patrick Sunderman and Nickolaus Mowrer will represent the nation in 50-metre rifle qualification.
