Frances Tiafoe on Monday secured the biggest win of his career. The 24-year-old defeated 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal in the fourth round of the US Open. He won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. 

Tiafoe will now face No 9 seed Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinal on Wednesday. The American star thanked his family and his ‘favourite NBA player’  Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal, who were in the stands.

“To have them see what I did today means more than anything,” Tiafoe said. “Today’s an unbelievable day and I’m going to soak this one in, for sure.”

Who is Ayan Broomfield, Frances Tiafoe’s girlfriend? 

Ayan Broonfield is a Canadian tennis player. She is 25 years old. The No 1413 ITF player hails from Ontario.

Broomfield has won two doubles title on the ITF tour in her career. Her best singles ranking of No 680 was achieved in 2015. She peaked at world no 467 in the doubles rankings on May 4, 2015. 

Broomfield made her WTA Tour debut at the 2014 Coupe Banque Nationale. She was the wildcard entry with Maria Patrascu in the doubles category. The 25-year-old was a part of the Clemson University tennis team from January 2016 to May 2017.

In 2019, she played for UCLA Bruins. For the college, she and Gabby Andrews won the doubles event at the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship

A short documentary was made entitled, “Ayan Broomfield Tennis Story,” which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, July 22, 2019. She was body double for select scenes of Venus Williams matches on the 2021 biographical film King Richard.

Broomfield first met Tiafoe trough a common friend – tennis player Vickie Duval in 2015. The two talked online before meeting each others’ families. 

They first came out about their relationship in 2018.  Broomfield is often spotted watching Tiafoe’s matches.
