Tyler Ford, the Los Angeles Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves play-in referee, was booed by the home crowd at the Crypto.com Arena for allegedly siding with Karl-Anthony Towns and co.
Social media users trolled the NBA referee too, accusing the crew of siding with the Timberwolves. People attending the game chanted “Refs you suck.”

“Tyler Ford is the worst official in the NBA not named Tony Brothers, Zach Zarba and Scott Foster.. (depending on the circumstances),” a Twitter user said.
“Please replace Tyler Ford with literally anybody else for the sake of the game,” another one added.
“Witnessing another referee masterclass. Forgot what it was like having LeMickey in the playoffs,” a third one tweeted.

Who is Tyler Ford?

Ford was born on June 8, 1985 in Lima, Ohio. He is 37 years old. The NBA referee wears No 39. He graduated from Allen East High School in Lafayette, Ohio.
Tyler Ford started off his officiating career with Division I college games. He spent four seasons there. He then started refereeing at the omen’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) games. The 37-year-old officiated five seasons in the NBA G League before coming to the NBA.

Ford worked the NBA G League All-Star Game in 2014 and the Finals in 2015.
Tyler Ford lives in Westfield, Indiana. He has also worked as the assistant director of Intramural Sports at Purdue University from 2009 to 2015. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sport Administration from Ball State University.
