Collin Morikawa won British Open 2021 at Royal St. George%u2019s for the second major title. He is the 149th Open Champion. The 24-year-old from California played his first British Open, where he dominated the field and shot a bogey-free 66 in the final round to surge past Louis Oosthuizen. He won the Open with a score of 15 as he holds, two strokes ahead of Jordan Spieth.

Morikawa, who is also the champion golfer of the year captured the British Open on Sunday for his second major championship in two years. He remarkably played the final 31 holes without any bogey. He finished at 15 under 265, the lowest score in the 15 times the British Open has been played at Royal St. George%u2019s.

Meanwhile, Jon Rahm and Louis Oosthuizen finished tied for third at 11 under. Oosthuizen was four behind Morikawa at the turn and couldn%u2019t catch up. While Spieth made charges throughout the game but was left to rue his bogey-bogey finish on Saturday including a 2-foot par putt he missed on the 18th.

The 2020 PGA Champion, Morikawa has now five victories his two years since turning pro, which includes two majors and a World Golf Championship, and has now won two majors in his debut appearance in each. He also became the eighth golfer ever to win two majors before the age of 25. Collin Morikawa now moves to no. 3 in the world.
