Ime Udoka the coach for the Boston Celtics is set to face disciplinary action, which might include a significant suspension, according to an ESPN report. Why? Allegedly for engaging in a “consensual, intimate relationship with a woman” who is a member of the franchise’s staff.

It is possible that Udoka might be kept out of the entire 2022-2023 season but that his job as the coach of the Boston Celtics wasn’t in jeopardy.
In his stead, Will Hardy and Joe Mazzulla are being considered to replace the coach for the season, according to the ESPN report. Hardy used to be Udoka’s top assistant coach before leaving to become the coach for the Utah Jazz. Mazzulla is another Celtics assistant coach who was also being considered by the Utah Jazz to coach the team.
Udoka took up the position as coach of the Celtics after the previous coach, Brad Stevens moved up within the organisation becoming the president of basketball operations. Stevens’ move upstairs was thanks to his predecessor Danny Ainge leaving the Celtics.
The Celtics brought in the former NBA player last summer after he spent time flitting from the San Antonio Spurs to the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn nets after he spent time with the franchises as an assistant coach.
The former NBA player has had a remarkable run as a rookie coach in just his first season. He took the team from being just under .500 in January this year to finishing the season with a record 28-7 in their final 35 games. He took the Celtics to their first NBA Finals for the first time in 12 years having engineered a domineering run through the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
