Novak Djokovic defeated world no. 12 Cameron Norrie in the Wimbledon men’s singles semifinal and advanced to the final of the tournament on Sunday against Australian maverick Nick Kyrgios.
Djokovic, a six-time champion, who has won the last three titles at the All England Club, has now made it to the final four times on the trot. The world no. 1 has now also qualified for an eighth Wimbledon final.

Novak Djokovic made the first serve in the match. The Serbian looked full of confidence, however, it was Cameron Norrie who drew the first blood in the opening set.
Norrie managed to win the first game with the score of 40-30. However, Djokovic took the lead in the third game soon, making it 2-1. However, from this point on, Norrie won every remaining game to win the first set.
The 26-year-old Brit registered three break points out of four, while his Serbian opponent managed to make only one. The Brit also won 19 service points, compared to Djokovic’s 17.
Djokovic looked to be adamant on making a comeback in the second set as he equalled 3-3 after the sixth game. He raced to a 40-0 lead in the seventh game as Norrie looked helpless against Djokovic’s tireless attacks.

The Serbian star went on to claim the second set (6-3) over Norrie with some exceptional strokes. He built on his first serve percentage from the first set, and forced Norrie to make mistakes as he capitalised on them to emerge victorious.
The third set witnessed Djokovic making a return to his usual self, taking a 2-0 lead after the first two games. However, Norrie soon claimed the third game, making it 2-1.
Cameron Norrie kept the third set competitive as he came back to win the seventh game, making the score 5-2. Djokovic retaliated soon, winning the set by 6-2.
World no. 1 Djokovic raced to a 3-1 lead in the fourth set and won 100% of the first serve points (11). Norrie, on the other hand, looked to be more dangerous than ever, as he fought back to make the score 5-4.
However, Djokovic soon cruised to win the fourth set and qualified for the final on Sunday, July 10 against Nick Kyrgios.
