Zoom, one of the most popular video conferencing platforms has introduced a new feature called ‘Pronoun’. Through this feature, individuals will have an option to select their gender pronouns. Zoom provides an option for all users and category of pronouns are she/her/hers, he/him/his, they/them/theirs.
While sharing the feature, Zoom said that everyone is important, including the LGBTQ community, and through this feature, users will freely express themselves. This will also help everyone to lead a stronger connectivity culture.

The National Transgender Statics survey 2015 revealed that around 35 % of the employees were denied promotion, experienced mistreatment, and have also been fired because of their gender.
Earlier, Zoom users could manually edit their display name even when they were in a live zoom session or webinar just by using the profile page. However, organisation policies and SSO integration did prohibit some uses to edit their display name. But now, with the help of the new feature, users can add pronouns and can manage their display name from their profile page.
