Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja guided India to a five-wicket win over Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2022 fixture on Sunday. Hardik showed nerves of steel to drive India to victory. The match was held at Dubai International Stadium. They got together when the score stood at 89 for 4 with India needing 148 to win. Hardik hit three boundaries and a six in the last two overs to
ensure that India cross the line with two balls to spare.

Pandya ended with figures of 3/25 in 4 overs while restricting
Pakistan to 147 in 19.5 overs and then smashed 33 off 17 balls with the winning
six in the last over bowled by Mohammed Nawaz, a left-arm spinner. The game
ended with India’s score at 148 in 19.4 overs and that of Pakistan as 147 all
out in 19.5 overs.

Social media has been filled with celebratory posts, memes and
reels since India’s victory. India-Pakistan matches are known to invigorate
emotions in the minds of the citizens of both the countries. Indians are also
known to become superstitious and hold bets among peers about the scores. The
walls of Meta, Twitter and the social media stories of people also overflow
with excitement and anticipation on the scores.

After India’s victory yesterday, actors Ananya Panday and
Ayushman Khurana posted a reel on their profiles which showed how overjoyed they
had been over the country’s victory. 

The reel starts with Ayushman at the batsman’s position, and
Ananya at the wicketkeeper’s. A fictitious ball is being thrown at Ayushman who
pretends to hit it and score a final six—imitating yesterday’s match. Ananya,
at first, reacts shockingly to this. But the reel ends with them and a number
of others dancing to the song Kala Chashma.

The others who are parts of this

rival teams, the ending of it represented the excitement and joy of the entire
country.
