Reliance CEO Mukesh Ambani on Thursday said that Reliance Industries has introduced the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy plan to work towards increased use of renewable energy in India. He announced it while addressing shareholders during its 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 

“We are launching our new energy business with aim of bridging the green energy divide in India, globally,” said Mukesh Ambani.

Introducing the company’s 10-year solar energy plan, Mukesh Ambani told shareholders that the Reliance industry is set to establish 100 GW of solar energy by 2030.

Mukesh also that Reliance added 75 thousand jobs to the Indian economy in the financial year 2020.

“We continue to be India’s largest merchandise exporter and remain the country’s highest payer of customs and excise duty in the private sector, ” said Ambani

He also added that Reliance raised Over Rs 3.24 lakh crore in equity capital over last year and congratulated retail shareholders on making 4x returns on the rights issue

Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries’ 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) is being held online in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situations.

Reliance has also introduced a chatbox feature in this year’s virtual meet. Owing to this feature, shareholders can ask frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the platform. It will also provide a list of dos and dont’s for the AGM.

It also consists of voting options as well as an answering mechanism for shareholders’ queries on taxes and dividends.
