Marion Ramsey, a broadway actress and television silver screen star, died at the age of 73.
Roger Paul Inc, Ramsey’s managing team, announced that the actress had died in her LA home. However, the cause of her death has not been confirmed, reported Hollywood Reporter.
Ramsey, who was celebrated for her role in the Police Academy series, also appeared on projects like “Cos” and “The Jeffersons”. Her more recent work includes her roles in “Lavanthula” and its sequel “2 Lava 2 Lantula”. She also worked as a dubbing artist in animated series like “The Addams Family” and “Robot Chicken”
Ramsey was also known for her work on Broadway productions like “Eubiel”, “Hello Dolly”, “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Harold Prince’s Grind”.
Apart from her work as an artist, she was also a dedicated advocate for AIDS awareness and has performed in the annual LA fundraising event. The events have raised a significant amount of funds for the social cause, reported Hollywood Reporter. “
Roger Paul Inc. in a statement said “Marion carried with her kindness and permeating light that instantly filled a room upon her arrival. The dimming of her light is already felt by those who knew her well. We will miss her and always love her”, reported Hollywood Reporter.
