Britney Spears has disclosed that she has been suffering from nausea for the past few weeks and believes it is the result of a “small bug.”
The pop star is now on vacation in Maui, Hawaii, with her fiancé Sam Asghari, and the California-based couple has been sharing photos and videos from their trip on their Instagram handle.
The “Toxic” singer, however, told her more than 39 million Instagram fans on Monday that her otherwise perfect vacation had been ruined by chronic illness.
The singer shared a video of herself sunbathing on the deck of her five-star hotel and wrote: “I think I have a small bug… the only thing that is similar to this feeling is when I was pregnant… it’s the nausea that is the worst.”
The mother of two went on to describe how her nausea has interrupted her sleep and forced her to change her regular routine.
“It’s like I can’t wake up, so I go to the gym trying to wake my system up,” she added. It’s like clockwork… I break my first sweat, then I go to the bathroom and throw up. It’s absolutely horrible, but then I stay at the gym because I don’t want to go home and lay sick in bed. I keep going, and at night I go dancing, and my system starts to get clarity. “
Spears also said that the unexplained condition has resulted in weight loss, writing: “Dude, this has been going on for a month and if someone has this, you’re not alone!!! I’ve lost two pounds, and that’s a lot for my body. “
The singer, who has visited Maui for many years, said that her time on the sun-kissed island has been tainted by paparazzi “hiding outside my room.”
“Aloha… although the paps are horrible, Maui is absolutely pure magic,” she ended her post. “Thank you, dear Jesus, for this magical place.”
Spears uploaded video footage of her adventures and photographs of her posing with her soon-to-be husband, Asghari, just before her post.

She revealed that she had another concern before talking about her illness and the paparazzi’s presence.
Spears’ vacation follows a public spat with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, whom she has accused of lying in recent interviews promoting her new memoir, Things I Should Have Said.
Jamie Lynn Spears has spoken up about her estranged sister’s mental health difficulties in interviews with Good Morning America and the Call Her Daddy podcast, claiming that she attempted to help her get out of her contentious conservatorship.
Britney Spears’ lawyer filed a case and desist letter to Jamie Lynn Spears, requesting that she stop talking about her in interviews or face legal penalties, after the singer publicly contradicted a number of the charges made by her sister.

Jamie Lynn Spears’ latest social media posts, including one in which she indicated that she should have “slapped” her mother and sister when she visited them in 2002, have provoked “threats of violence” from the singer’s fans, according to Jamie Lynn Spears’ lawyer, Bryan Freedman.
To be clear,” Freedman told Page Six, “social media posts that involve cyber bullying and death threats to Jamie Lynn and her family are neither the “high road” nor something that will be tolerated.”
