In other news, the European Commission has condemned the recent surge in antisemitic incidents and rhetoric across Europe and the world, expressing strong condemnation for these acts and reaffirming its support for Jewish communities. The EU highlighted specific incidents, including attacks on synagogues, the desecration of a Jewish cemetery, and antisemitic slogans during demonstrations. The EU described this rise in antisemitic incidents as reaching “extraordinary levels,” reminiscent of dark periods in history when European Jews faced persecution.
