US President Joe Biden has been accused of covering up the OceanGate Titan submersible’s implosion by several right-wing commentators. They allege that the Democrat wanted to distract people from his son Hunter’s tax investigation.
OceanGate, the company that sent the vessel to the Titanic wreckage site, and Rear Admiral John Mauger of the US Coast Guard on Thursday announced that the Titan submersible imploded and search crews found a debris field “consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber”.

In a statement on Thursday, OceanGate said that it believes that all five members onboard died.
“We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost,” the company said in a statement.
The Wall Street Journal on Thursday reported that a US Navy’s detection system had detected an “anomaly” around the time the submersible was thought to have imploded. It was shortly after it went missing in the Atlantic Ocean.
WSJ cited a senior US Navy official.
“The US Navy conducted an analysis of acoustic data and detected an anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion in the general vicinity of where the Titan submersible was operating when communications were lost,” the official told the Journal.
The US Coast Guard said that it found the wreckage of the submersible near the remains of the Titanic.

Several social media users alleged that Biden knew about the implosion but covered it up.
“The WSJ is reporting the U.S. Navy detected the Titan implosion on Sunday but Biden held the news until today’s whistleblower testimony on Hunter,” Jack Posobiec, a conservative commentator, said on Twitter.
“The Biden administration knew the Titan submarine imploded Sunday. But waited until today to make it public. Convenient smokescreen for today’s House Ways & Means release of IRS whistleblower testimony of DOJ sabotage of the Hunter Biden investigation,” another one added.
