US President Donald Trump has asked a court to suspend vote count in Michigan and Pennsylvania, AFP reported quoting his campaign manager Bill Stepien.

The Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit, Reuters reported.

Stepien alleged without providing evidence that his team had not been allowed legally guaranteed access to observe vote counting in “numerous” locations.

The move comes at a moment when Democratic challenger Joe Biden was widening the gap in the presidential race in Michigan. Pennsylvania too has emerged a crucial state for Trump.

Hours earlier, Trump had tweeted, “They are finding Biden votes all over the place — in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. So bad for our Country!”

He accused ‘pollsters’ of getting the count completely wrong.

“Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong,” the president wrote in another tweet.

Incidentally, Twitter had marked the post misleading.
