Greta Thunberg, an 18-year-old teen, with a history of overt dislike towards the 45th US President Donald Trump took one more jibe at the outgoing leader as he delivered his last address at the post on Wednesday. Thunberg took on Twitter to call Trump a ‘very happy old man’, someone ‘looking forward to a wonderful future’.
“He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” the Swedish environmentalist tweeted in a sarcastic tone.
However, this is not the first time Thunberg has taken on social media to take strong jibes at Donald Trump, as the latter too has made derogatory statements for her.
Flashback to November last year when Greta Thunberg took on Twitter to mock Donald Trump when he was raging on Twitter and posted a number of tweets alleging unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud during the presidential election, the results of which are yet to be announced. Trump with 213 electoral votes was trailing behind Biden, who had secured 253 votes.
“Donald must work on his Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Donald, Chill!” she wrote, in a perfect riposte, which received some 1.2 million likes.
Trump had taken a similar jibe at Greta asking her to chill after her ‘How dare you’ speech at the UN Climate Action Summit which shot her to global fame.
“She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” Trump had tweeted after Greta’s speech.
After Trump advised her to chill, Greta changed her bio to “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movies with a friend.”
Thunberg has repeatedly endorsed Joe Biden.”From a climate perspective it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn! Just get organised and get everyone to vote Biden,” Greta had tweeted.
