Just days
before Donald Trump’s term as the president of the United States ends, the Democrats
are pushing for a second impeachment to make sure that he never comes back to
power.

The
House of Representatives are expected to vote on his impeachment on Tuesday on charges
of inciting his supporters to carry out a violent attack on
the Capitol Hill on January 6, CNN reported. The incident not only temporarily
suspended the counting of Electoral College votes, but also resulted in the
deaths of five people, including an officer of the US Capitol Police.

On
Monday, Democrats introduced an article of impeachment against him, which was co-sponsored by 211 House members. Prior to that, the
Democrats had also introduced a resolution, calling on Vice President Mike Pence to
invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution and remove the POTUS.

The Democrats have enough votes in the
House to impeach Trump. But the Senate, where the Republicans have a 51-50
majority, requires votes of two-third members to remove him.

“You
don’t concede when there’s theft involved. Our country has had enough. We will
not take it anymore,” Trump had told his supporters to march to the Capitol on January 6, to
give Republican representatives “the kind of pride and boldness that they need
to take back our country.”

Democrats
in Congress will be using these statements by Trump as an opening to initiate a
second impeachment trial.
