The Commission on Presidential Debates announced on Wednesday the moderators for the three presidential debates between Donald Trump and Joe Biden and for one vice-presidential debate between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris.

The first presidential debate on September 29 will be moderated by Chris Wallace of Fox News. The second on October 15 will be moderated by Steve Scully of C-Span and the third and final debate on October 22 will be moderated by Kristen Welker of NBC News.

The vice-presidential debate will be held on October 7 and will be moderated by Susan Page of USA Today.

The first presidential debate to be held in Ohio will be divided into six segments of approximately 15 minutes each. It’ll cover important topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. After the moderator opens the segment, each candidate will have two minutes to respond.

The second debate to be held in Florida will take the form of a town meeting, in which the questions will be posed by citizens from the South Florida area. The candidates will have two minutes to respond to each question and there will be an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate further discussion, the commission said.

The format of the third debate to be held in Tennessee will be similar to the first debate.

The vice-presidential debate will be held in Utah and will be divided into nine segments of approximately 10 minutes each. The moderator will ask an opening question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic, the commission said.
