Even after four high-intensity games in the NBA finals, the best-of-seven series is all squared at 2-2, with neither Milwaukee nor Phoenix lifting their feet off the pedal even for a moment.

While ahead of Saturday’s fifth game, Bucks are halfway to their first crown in 50 years, while the Suns are hoping to bring home the first NBA title in their 53-year history.

Both teams have won their home games and if records are anything to go by then the Suns would be smacking their lips as we return to Phoenix on Saturday.

“It’s going to be a battle, but I think both sides know the price and both have a goal,” Milwaukee guard Jrue Holiday said. “You’ve just got to leave it all out there.”

In Game 4, while Khris Middleton top-scored for Milwaukee with 40 points in, Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped an all-round performance and chipped in with probably one of the finest last-ditch blocks in basketball history to ultimately win the game and tie the series.   

The Greek forward has risen up to the occasion this season. He now averages 32.2 points, 14.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.75 steals and 1.5 blocked shots a game so far in the best-of-seven championship series.

Talking about the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, Holiday said, “The way Giannis is playing, he has been playing like he’s MVP calibre. He’s playing like he wants to win the finals.”

“You’ve seen times where he’s just put the team on his back. Giannis is being Giannis, and we have to continue to just try to help and support him.”

But Milwaukee have to sure they don’t let the moment get the better of them and allow the Suns to get back into the game. 

“When we were down before, we didn’t act like it was the end of the world,” Antetokounmpo said. “We weren’t worrying about going and trying to win two. We were going to put ourselves in a position to win.

“This team has a great mindset in that. Hopefully we are going to keep doing it moving forward.”

Meanwhile, the inspired Suns too aren’t ready to let go of the hopes of an NBA title this easy.

“We’re motivated. We’re embracing this moment. I don’t think at the beginning of the season anybody in this league expected us to be in the situation we’re in. We’re excited for it,” Suns point guard Devin Booker said.

Showing his hunger, Booker top-scored in Game 4 with 42 points, albeit in a losing cause.

“Everything you want is on the other side of hard,” Booker said. “We know if we want to do as a team, it’s not going to be easy at all.

While there’s no doubting the heart that both the teams have put into these grand finale games, ultimate there can be only one champion and the winner of Saturday’s game will be taking a major step towards it.
