After a Florida jury recommended that Nikolas Cruz, 24, receive a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the Parkland school shooting, the judge scheduled the sentencing date for November 1.
The hearing will begin at nine in the morning ET.

Cruz was tried for the February 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, which resulted in the deaths of 17, including 14 students and three school personnel. He had pleaded guilty.
Following are all the victims of the Parkland school shooting incident:
Alyssa Alhadeff, 14
Alyssa, 14, played soccer for Parkland Travel Soccer and attended Stoneman Douglas High School.
Alyssa’s mother, Lori Alhadeff, said that she sent her off at school on Wednesday and said, “I love you.” The mother hurried to school after learning about the shooting, but it was already too late.
Scott Beigel, 35
Beigel, a geography teacher, was killed as he attempted to re-enter his classroom after the shooting.
One of Beigel’s students, Kelsey Friend, told CNN in an emotional interview that he was shot just outside of the classroom door and that he saved her life.
Martin Duque Anguiano, 14
Miguel Duque commemorated the death of his younger brother, Martin, and established a Go Fund Me page to assist with funeral expenses.
“He was a very funny kid, outgoing, and sometimes really quiet. He was sweet and caring and loved by all his family. Most of all he was my baby brother,” Miguel wrote on the page.

Nicholas Dworet, 17
Nicholas, a 17-year-old senior, was killed in the shooting, according to the University of Indianapolis. He had been recruited for the university swim team and would have been a first-year student in thefall.
“Nick’s death is a reminder that we are connected to the larger world, and when tragedy hits in places around the world, it oftentimes affects us at home,” Robert L. Manuel, president of the University of Indianapolis said.
Aaron Feis, 37
According to football programme spokeswoman Denis Lehtio, Feis, an assistant football coach, was killed when he placed himself in front of students to shield them from approaching bullets. Feis, 37, died following emergency surgery for a gunshot wound, according to Lehtio.
Jaime Guttenberg, 14
A Facebook post by Jaime’s father, Fred, identified her as one of the victims as being 14 years old.
“My heart is broken. Yesterday, Jennifer Bloom Guttenberg and I lost our baby girl to a violent shooting at her school. We lost our daughter and my son Jesse Guttenberg lost his sister,” he wrote.
“I am broken as I write this trying to figure out how my family gets through this. We appreciate all of the calls and messages and we apologize for not reacting to everyone individually,” he added. “Hugs to all and hold your children tight.”

Chris Hixon, 49
He was “probably the best man that I…,” his widow Debra said to CNN before she was unable to on without breaking down/
She had just praised Chris Hixon, the sports director at the school, for being a fantastic partner, father, and American.
She added previously, “Every one of those students he thought of as his own kid.”
Luke Hoyer, 15
Eddie and Janice Stroud, Luke’s grandparents, told CNN affiliate WYFF in Greenville that they learned about the incident from television broadcasts while living in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
“The day went by and we didn’t hear anything about Luke. We kept hoping they would find him wandering around in shock,” Janice Stroud said.
“By 7 o’clock, I said, ‘I don’t like this. This is not good,’” a ccording to WYFF, her husband, Eddie, reportedly stated. “Finally, (police) called us at 1 a.m. and said Luke was among the students that had been killed.”
Cara Loughran, 14
Cara studied Irish dancing in South Florida at the Drake School of Irish Dance.
The dance studio released a statement in which they said, “Cara was a beautiful soul and always had a smile on her face. We are heartbroken as we send our love and support to her family during this horrible time.”

Gina Montalto, 14
Gina played in the marching band for her school’s winter guard.
“Unfortunately, one of the victims in yesterday’s St. Valentine’s Day Massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was a member of the school’s winter guard,” the Winter Guard International grieved in a statement.
The group proclaimed that “no student should ever go to school afraid.”
Joaquin Oliver, 17
Joaquin was born in Venezuela, immigrated to the country when he was 3, and was granted citizenship in January 2017, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
“Among friends at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, he was known as ‘Guac,’ a moniker that appeared on his Instagram account. His interests: football, basketball, the Venezuelan national soccer team, urban graffiti and hip-hop,” the paper noted.
Alaina Petty, 14
According to Alaina’s family, she was vivacious and driven. After Hurricane Irma struck Florida in September, she had volunteered.
According to a statement from her family, Alaina “loved to serve.”
She also participated in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Helping Hands programme.
Meadow Pollack, 18
According to spokeswoman Jamie D’Aria, Meadow, 18, had been accepted to Lynn University in Boca Raton.
“Meadow was a lovely young woman, who was full of energy. We were very much looking forward to having her join our community in the fall,” D’Aria noted.

Helena Ramsay, 17
“My family lost an absolutely beautiful member today, due to a senseless school shooting,” Curtis Page Jr. wrote in a Facebook post.
“Helena was a smart, kind hearted, and thoughtful person. She was deeply loved and loved others even more so. Though she was some what reserved, she had a relentless motivation towards her academic studies, and her soft warm demeanor brought the best out in all who knew her. She was so brilliant and witty, and I’m still wrestling with the idea that she is actually gone.”
Alex Schachter, 14
According to the Sun-Sentinel, Alex enrolled in the school marching band and orchestra, playing baritone in the former and trombone in the latter.
According to Alexander Kaminsky, director of bands at Parkland High School, “I felt he really had a bright future on the trombone.”
Carmen Schentrup, 16
Carmen was a National Merit Scholar semifinalist.
“Marjory Stoneman Douglas had 10 students qualify as semifinalists for 2018, which is the second year in a row 10 students have qualified,” the Eagle Eye student blog noted.
Peter Wang, 15
According to the Sun-Sentinel, Peter had participated in the junior ROTC programme, and his parents ran a restaurant in West Palm Beach.
When Kelsey Friend learned about her friend’s passing by looking at pictures of the deceased on Google, Kelsey Friend, who took a cooking class with Peter, claimed she “started screaming and crying.”
