Delegate Stacy Plaskett presented a video, which was never made public before, at the impeachment trial of former US President Donald Trump. The security footage video showed a violent group breaching through the doors of the US Capitol, some equipped with baseball bats, body armor and riot shields.
The groundbreaking evidence also features a live map of the US Capitol to help the viewers get a comprehensive idea of the entire timeline of the incidents of January 6.

In a video displayed earlier, the secret service detail of former US Vice President Mike Pence, who was called a “true patriot” by Plaskett, evacuated him along with his family. Plaskett said a few rioters “were looking to execute Mike Pence” after he announced that he will honour his duty as the Vice President.
The delegate then went to play a disturbing video of the protesters looking for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was evacuated and taken to a secure location by the security officials in the US Capitol. The violent protesters were looking for Pelosi to physically harm her, according to the videos shared.
William Calhoun, an attorney from Georgia who was part of the riot, posted a chilling update on his Facebook account following the January 6 incidents. The post was read out by Plaskett, which said, “The first of us who got upstairs kicked in Nancy Pelosi’s office door and pushed down the halls toward her inner sanctum, the mob howling with rage. ‘Crazy Nancy’ probably would have been torn into little pieces, but she was nowhere to be seen.”
Calhoun was later charged for his participation in the violent attack.
Plaskett also revealed in her address that the infamous man who was caught on security footage after breaking into the US Capitol chambers of Pelosi wielded a 950,000-volt “stun gun walking stick” which could have “caused serious pain and incapacitated anyone Barnett had used it against”, said the house impeachment manager.

The floor was then taken over by Eric Swalwell, a fellow house impeachment manager, who continued with the prosecutor team’s strategy of playing videos of the deadly attacks carried out during the certification of votes at the US Capitol.
The protesters were seen attacking a group of police officers with “a crutch, a hockey stick, a bullhorn and a Trump flag” in an attempt to get past the barricading. A bodycam video of a police officer getting physically assaulted by the mob was also displayed.
