As the reports of Trump’s saying he may not
concede defeat went around on Friday, a spokesperson for the Biden campaign
retorted that the coming government will be strong enough to remove trespassers
from the White House. “As we said on July 19th, the American people will
decide this election.” Andrew Bates, a spokesperson for Biden’s
campaign said.

“And the United States government is perfectly capable
of escorting trespassers out of the White House,” Independent quotes the spokesperson as saying.

Bates’ statement came in the wake of a statement made by an
unidentified Trump aide, in which he said that the president may not concede
defeat just yet and he may be exploring options to stick around a little
longer.

According to a news report published in Fox News, the Trump
aide said that the incumbent is receiving advice from advocates of both
approaches—to concede defeat or put up a fight—and as of now it is not sure
which approach he may go for.

The source told Fox News that the President is “simply
skeptical.”

“He warned about this for months… The media didn’t take it
seriously, and now, here we are with the scenario.”

The aide said, though, that the president “may ultimately
concede.”

“He’s just not there yet,” the aide added, according to the
report.

Trump has been alleging malpractice in voting ever since the
mail-in votes have come into reckoning. A great share of these votes have gone
to Biden, a development which has made Trump skeptical overall of their authenticity.
