Tulsi Gabbard, who quit the Democratic Party in October 2022, is being hailed on social media for grilling New York Representative-elect George Santos in an interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News.
Santos has admitted to lying on his resume when he filed his candidature for the 2022 midterm elections. He had stated that he was a student of Baroch College and New York University. However, both institutions have revealed that there is no documentation of his association with them.

The 34-year-old had also claimed that he had worked for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, but it has now been proved that these were also false claims.
Gabbard, in her interview with Santos, said, “These are blatant lies and it draws into question how your constituents and the American people can believe anything you may say on the floor of the House”. Check out a clip of the interaction between them right here:
One Twitter user said regarding the exchange, “Not really, grilling him to resign is the only grilling he needs. This wasn’t it. In fact she seems ready for him to serve so long as he talked to her and answered questions. This is Tulsi-chess 101.”

Another commented, “Wow. Definitely was not expecting Tulsi Gabbard to actually attack him. She also follows this up by pushing back strongly against his utterly pathetic whataboutism re:…Joe Biden.”
An attorney for Santos called the stories, first printed by The New York Times, a smear but didn’t answer questions about the concerns.
An email seeking more information about Santos’ plans to talk was sent to the attorney’s office on Thursday.

Court records also showed that Santos had had financial issues, including being put under eviction proceedings three times between 2014 and 2017 over unpaid rent.
Santos first ran for Congress in 2020 and lost. He ran again in 2022 and won in the district that includes some Long Island suburbs and a small part of Queens.
