Joel Embiid’s son Arthur joined the Philadelphia 76ers star as he accepted the Michael Jordan Trophy, awarded to the Kia NBA MVP.
Embiid was named the Most Valuable Player this season with Nikola Jokic finishing runner-up and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks coming third.
Joel Embiid is in action on Friday as the 76ers take on the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs round two. In an emotional speech, the 29-year-old thanked his parents, who are in Cameroon. The All-Star had his son in his arms and girlfriend Anne De Paula in attendance.

Embiid finished the regular season averaging 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists. He had a tied career high of 4.2 assists per game. The Cameroon national made 54.8% shots from the field and 33% from beyond the arc.
Joel Embiid was sidelined with a sprained right knee and could not play one playoff game against the Brooklyn Nets and another one vs Boston. Philadelphia, however, won and the series is tied at 1-1.
Who are his girlfriend and son?
Joel Embiid and Anne De Paula first met in 2019 at a dinner party in New York City, as per the People Magazine.

De Paula, as per her Instagram profile, looks like a swimsuit model. She is from Brazil and also featured on Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Cover.
Paula was born in 1995 to an x-ray technician mother and a doctor father. She played football and was a goalkeeper.
The two have a son named Arthur.
