Wanted criminal in Florida and North Carolina, Matthew Scott Flores, has been arrested finally after a multi-county chase. The report was verified by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office on Friday. According to the office, Flores was involved in a chase in Ellenboro.
He escaped arrest in Florida on Thursday after being charged with a murder case in Hardee County. Authorities shared photos of them searching a pond in Wauchula for the murder weapon. Later, on Friday, Flores was arrested in Rutherford Country.

Matthew Scott Flores is a wanted criminal in North Carolina and Florida. He is wanted for at least one killing in Hardee County. He is a fugitive facing multiple charges in North Carolina, including Parole Violation and Felony Speed to Elude Arrest. Moreover, Flores has a running second-degree murder case in Florida as well.
Presently, he is being held in the Rutherford County Detention Center with no bond for the parole violation and a $615,000 secured bond on the remaining North Carolina charges.

According to the authorized reports, Flores is a 35-year-old murder suspect from Florida. The US Marshalls started chasing him on Thursday for multiple felonies including murder and possession, plus discharge, of firearm in public. The chase carried through McDowell and Burke counties before Flores got caught in Rutherford.
Reportedly, Flores has been hurt and is being given medical care. “Due to the apparent impairment of Flores’ suspected narcotic use, Flores was provided medical attention by Rutherford county EMS”, the sheriff’s office posted on their Facebook account.
Sheriff Aaron Ellenburg, in a statement, said that it was a dangerous chase in a very wet conditions. The 35-year-old fugitive is now in custody and will be facing trial for the multiple felonies he is being charged for.
