Peter Doocy is the White House correspondent for Fox News. The 34-year-old is the son of ‘Fox & Friends’ co-host Steve Doocy and Kathy Gerrity. Born on July 21, 1987, Doocy graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
He began as a general assignment reporter for Fox News in 2009 and covered a variety of stories, including the floods in the Midwest in 2011 and Hurricane Sandy.
In 2014, Doocy managed to obtain an exclusive TV interview with former Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill, who claimed to have fired the kill shot on Osama bin Laden. He went on to cover the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries.
During a White House event on Monday, US President Joe Biden called him “a stupid son of a b–h” after he asked him whether “inflation was a political asset” to him.
At one point during the event, which was set up to discuss the Biden administration’s efforts to combat inflation, the president complained that all the questions from the journalists were about the military buildup around Ukraine.

Following this, Doocy shouted, “Will you take questions about inflation? Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms?”
Assuming that his microphone was turned off, the president responded sarcastically, “No, that’s a great asset. More inflation.”
“What a stupid son of a b—h,” he added.
Doocy is no stranger to asking such awkward questions.
In January 2021, Doocy has an exchange with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki over coronavirus travel bans imposed by Joe Biden.
“When president Trump was imposing travel restrictions in March, specifically on China then candidate Biden called it ‘xenophobic’ and ‘fear-mongering,’” Doocy asked. “Now, President Biden is putting travel restrictions on people coming in from other countries. What word do we use to describe that?”
Psaki responded by saying that the question wasn’t quite a “fair articulation.”

In May, he asked Psaki why Biden wasn’t pushing harder for a probe into the origins of the coronavirus.
Psaki responded, saying, “First of all, we need access to the underlying data and information in order to have that investigation. I think you’re misunderstanding how this process actually works.”
“An international investigation, led by the World Health Organization, is actually something we’ve been pressing for, for several months. What we can’t do, and what I would caution anyone doing, is leaping ahead of an actual international process.”

Just before his exchange with Biden on Monday, the reporter tried to ask a question to Psaki, suggesting that the president is to blame for the stock market drop.
“Does the president think it’s a big deal that today the Dow Jones is down at one point more than 1100 points?” he asked.
Psaki quickly turned it into some shade at former president Donald Trump.
“Well, to start with, we focus on the trends in the economy, not any one day and any single indicator, unlike his predecessor, the president does not look at the stock market as a means by which to judge the economy,” she replied.
