Larry Nassar, ex-USA gymnastics team doctor who was convicted of sexually assaulting athletes was stabbed multiple times at a prison in Florida.
However, he survived the attack and is in stable condition at the moment. The attack happened Sunday at United States Penitentiary Coleman in Florida. He was stabbed during an altercation with another inmate at a federal prison in the stomach and chest.
At the time of the attack, Nassar was serving decades in prison for convictions in state and federal courts for sexually assaulting gymnasts, including Olympic medalists.

In September 2021, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee and USA Gymnastics were ordered to pay $380 million to the gymnasts after star athletes such as Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, McKayla Moroney, and Maggie Nichols testified before court about sexual abuse disguised as “medical treatments.”
Nassar was once married to his wife Stephanie Nassar, who filed for divorce in 2017.
Who is Stephanie Nassar?
Stephanie Nassar works as a pediatric physician’s assistant in Lansing, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University in 1992 and graduated in 1999 from the University of Detroit with a Master’s degree from their Physician Assistant program. She was Stephanie Anderson before marrying Larry.

She got married to Larry on October 19, 1996, in East Lansing, Michigan, according to The Sun. One of Larry’s first victims, Sarah Klein, who knew Stephanie when she was Larry’s girlfriend, was at their wedding, along with another victim, Trinea Gonczar.
Stephanie filed for divorce on January 25, 2017. She was granted the divorce within six months. She also received sole custody of their three children shared by Larry and her — two daughters and a son. Larry’s ex-wife and his children did not show up for his sentencing and court proceedings.
