Zackary Jones, a 34-year-old man from Kentucky, has been arrested following the discovery of a missing 16-year-old girl from North Carolina.
The teenager was found hidden behind a trap door in Jones’s home in Kentucky. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, responding to a call from Jones’s mother about an altercation, found the girl in a concealed area of Jones’s bedroom. This arrest concludes the search for the girl, who had been reported missing on December 8, 2023.

Jones had been in communication with the teenager on Facebook, deceitfully claiming to be 19 years old. According to reports, he picked up the girl in North Carolina and transported her to Kentucky.

The discovery of the girl in Jones’s home was made after deputies responded to a call from Jones’s mother. Initially, Jones denied the presence of the girl in his house, but a search led to the revealing of a hidden trap door under a rug in his bedroom, where the teenager was found.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office found evidence of drug use and a sexual relationship between Jones and the girl. Furthermore, Jones had threatened the life of the teenager, adding a layer of severity to the case.

As a result of these findings, Jones now faces multiple charges, including ten third-degree charges of rape, ten third-degree charges of sodomy, using an electronic device to entice and lure a minor across state lines, assault, strangulation, unlawful transaction with a minor involving an illegal sex act and controlled substance, possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest.
