Who was Levi Wilkins?

The Norman Fire Department on Saturday morning confirmed the death of Levi Wilkins. The social media post read, “It’s difficult to express just how hard it hit when we learned of Levi’s passing yesterday. A few years ago, he courageously battled cancer and came out stronger on the other side. He lived life to the fullest every day and everyone who knew him, loved him. Please keep his family in your prayers.”
He was diagnosed with stage IV renal cancer in 2019. After he was diagnosed, the whole department came in support of his journey. For the family, a GoFundMe page garnered more than $12,000 in only one day. He had worked for the department for over eight years as a driving engineer. Wilkins showed a desire to report to work this week despite receiving the worst news of his life.
