A massive fire at the BM Inland Container Depot near the Chittagong Seaport in Bangladesh has left at least 38 people dead, including five firefighters, and more than a 100 injured. The fire, which broke out around midnight on Saturday, took hours to extinguish and it was not until early Sunday morning that firefighters managed to bring the blaze to a control. The blaze was caused by massive explosions inside a chemicals container, preliminary reports suggest. An official announcement on the cause of the fire, however, has yet to be made, and an investigation into the tragic incident is currently underway.
