Salem Al-Dawsari of Saudi Arabia lit up the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a spectacular goal against Argentina in a Group C match on Tuesday. Saudi Arabia stunned the world by defeating Argentina 2-1 at Lusail Stadium. Argentina dominated the first half of the game but failed to maintain their senses in the opening minutes of the second half, allowing Saudi Arabia to shake their defence.
A breathtaking goal by Saudi number 10 Al-Dawsari in the 53rd minute of the game brought joy to their fans all over the world. After a wonderful piece of trickery, the 31-year-old rummaged an unbreakable shot into the top corner, the commentator went hysterical.
The clip of the commentary caught the attention of fans because the goal has the possibility to be nominated for tournament goal of the year.

A goal was scored within the first ten minutes of the game, and VAR was used twice in the first half, once to award Argentina a penalty and once to award Saudi Arabia a goal that was ruled offside. A lot happened in the first half of Group C’s first match between the reigning Copa America champions and the Asian giants.
Argentina’s gameplan was to field a large number of men up front, evenly spaced, with one on each touchline. However, Saudi Arabia’s comeback began with a goal from Saleh Al-Shehri, who cancelled out an early Lionel Messi penalty.

The Saudi striker finished calmly to beat Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez. To keep their opponents at bay, the Saudis responded to a lot of physical play, and the referee had to reach into his pocket to show yellow cards to Abdulhamid, Abdulelah Al Malki, Salem Al Dawsari, and Ali Al Bulayhi.
The Copa America winners tried hard to equalise, but Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais was unbeatable, and the final whistle prompted scenes of joy.
