LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been ruled out of Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. Russell Westbrook and Avery Bradley, who were both listed as questionable on the injury report, will start.

James had also missed the Thursday game against Philadelphia 76ers because of his sore left knee. Davis is out with right wrist soreness. Malik Monk (left groin soreness) and Kendrick Nunn (right knee bone bruise) also are out for the struggling Lakers.

Coach Frank Vogel ahead of the game against 76ers said James is day to day.  The 37-year-old is second in the league in scoring at 29.1 points per game. He has scored at least 25 points in 18 straight games.

LeBron James is on the verge of becoming the first triple-quintuple player in NBA history, with at least 10,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 assists. He hit the rebound milestone last week, and he’ll probably hit the assist milestone sometime between now and the All-Star break, if he can stay healthy.

Charlotte’s Kelly Oubre Jr., who had 39 points on 10 3-pointers in a 158-126 win over Indiana on Wednesday night, will be a game-time decision due to a left ankle strain.

The Hornets and Lakers will tip at 7:30 p.m. EST/6 AM Saturday IST.
