New York City law enforcement may have found Frank James, the “suspect” in the Brooklyn subway shooting that injured at least 10 people but the search for a motive continues. Police arrested James on Wednesday, about 30 hours after the incident.
Law enforcement officers have kept their focus on analysing videos of James that were uploaded on YouTube, most of which reportedly contain his opinions on a variety of matters.

James, 62, has reportedly been living in multiple cities across the country, including Milwaukee, Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York.

What was found in the YouTube videos uploaded by James?
Frank James expressed opinions about nearly everything in the videos — racism in America, New York City’s new mayor, the state of mental health services, 9/11, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Black women, Associated Press reported.
James identifies himself as the “Prophet of Doom” in one of his videos, in which he embraces violence in the United States. He said, “This nation was born in violence, it is kept alive by violence or the threat thereof, and it is going to die a violent death.”
In a video posted a day before the attack, James criticizes crime against Black people and says things would only change if certain people were “stomped, kicked and tortured” out of their “comfort zone”, Associated Press reported.

Are there any other developments in the investigation?
Law enforcement officials have started to track James’ activities before and after the attack using footage from surveillance cameras at the subway station.
In one of the surveillance videos, James can be seen wearing a jacket with reflective tape and a yellow-coloured hard hat, impersonating a construction worker. He was seen entering the subway system on Tuesday morning before the attack.
