Actor Pasha Lee, 33, died on Sunday in Irpin in bombardments that continued in Kyiv’s suburbs, according to a Deadline report. Only a few days before his death, the actor took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself in his official army uniform. The caption read, “For the last 48 hours there is an opportunity to sit down and take a picture of how we are being bombed, and we are smiling because we will manage and everything will be (okay) UKRAINE WE ARE WORKING !!!”

Pasha Lee, a Ukrainian actor, had already informed his fans and followers that he had joined his country’s fight in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war through social media. According to Deadline, Lee had joined Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces and was killed near Irpin as a result of Russian shelling.

Pasha Lee was well-known for his roles in films such as Meeting Of Classmates, The Fight Rules, Selfie Party, and others.

On Sunday, Ukraine’s General Headquarters stated that Russian forces were continuing to fire’mercilessly’ in civilian areas, including Irpin. They released a short video of evacuations taking place in the area and said that there were still numerous people who were unable to flee due to Russia’s military offensive.

In the short video, the Ukrainian army can be seen assisting residents in the evacuation process while firing can be heard in the background. Ukraine’s General Headquarters claimed, “During the evacuation, the Russians opened mortar fire on people. Аt least three people were killed in shelling, including two children”.

On March 7, the Russia-Ukraine war entered its 12th day, and the International Court of Justice just heard Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s request seeking accountability for Russia’s continued onslaught in his country. Anton Korynevich, Zelensky’s Permanent Representative, urged Russia to resolve the ongoing conflict in the manner of a ‘civilised nation.’ He said, “My message to Russia– let us settle our disputes like civilized nations, lay down your arms.”
