Sreenivasan, one of the most well-known performers in
Malayalam cinema, was born on April 6, 1956, in Kannur, Kerala.

He is a playwright, director, dubbing artist, and producer
in addition to being an actor. In his long career, he has appeared in over 225
films. Odaruthammava Aalariyam, Gandhinagar 2nd Stret, Varavelpu, Sandesam, Oru
Maravathoor kanavu, Midhunam, and Njan Prakashan are among his screenplays.

At the 29th Kerala State Film Awards, Sreenivasana’s film
Vadakkunokkiyanthram (1989) won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film,
while Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala (1998) got the National Film Award for Best
Film on Other Social Issues and the Best Popular Film Award.
