US Vice President Kamala Harris and Second
Gentleman Doug Emhoff decided to make use of the Valentine’s weekend to
support a noble cause. Harris along with her husband Emhoff, made a visit to healthcare workers at
the Washington DC VA Medical Center on Saturday. Second Gentleman took
to his Instagram and posted a picture from the visit on Saturday and captioned
it as “This Valentine’s Day weekend, our hearts are with the health care
heroes working around-the-clock to support our country during this difficult
time”.

“I’m
so glad Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough and Kari McDonough could
join us as we thanked the hardworking staff at the DC VA Medical Center”,
he added.
In the picture Harris and Emhoff are seen
distributing cookies to essential healthcare workers and thanking them for their
ultimate hardwork. The couple were joined by newly confirmed VA
secretary, Denis McDonough and his wife Kari.

The couple got married in 2014 after meeting on a
blind date set up by Harris’ best friend in 2013. Last year, when they celebrated
their sixth wedding anniversary, Harris wrote for her husband, “@douglasemhoff, there’s no one I’d
rather be with on this journey”.
