IPL 2022
has started on March 26 with the Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders
clash. On the second day of the tournament, there were plenty of actions with
so many youngsters proving the value of the money, making solid contributions to
their teams.
Here are
five youngsters who have done great jobs in IPL 2022 so far:
Ishan
Kishan
In the IPL mega auction, Mumbai Indians bought back left-handed
wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan for a whopping Rs 15.25 crore. In the first
match of MI, Ishan proved his worth playing a blitzkrieg 81 off 48 balls knock.
He decorated his innings with 11 boundaries and two sixes which yet again
established his ability as a clean striker of the ball. His effort went in vain
against Delhi Capitals as MI lost but Ishan’s individual effort did not go unnoticed.

Lalit
Yadav
In the same game on Sunday, chasing a 178 runs target when Delhi Capitals
found themselves in trouble after the fall of captain Rishabh Pant, 25-year-old
Lalit Yadav walked into the pitch to rescue the Delhi side against Mumbai’s experienced
bowling attack. Lalit played a sensible knock, holding his nerve under
pressure situation. He remained unbeaten on 48 while guiding DC to a thumping four-wicket
win over Mumbai Indians. He got assistance from Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel

Basil
Thampi
Mumbai Indians lost their opening match, but young paceman Basil Thampi
returned with a brilliant performance. Thampi gave MI an early breakthrough on
Sunday in the form of Prithvi Shaw and then he dismissed Rovman Powell and
Shardul Thakur to choke DC’s chase. However, Thampi’s 3 for 35 went in vain.
Murugan
Ashwin
Another MI cricketer whose brilliant show was proved worthless as his team lost
the game. Murugan Ashwin conceded merely 14 runs in four overs and picked up
the important wickets of DC opener Tim Seifert and Mandeep Singh. However, yet
again the performance was overlooked because of DC’s victory.
Tilak Varma
The
southpaw from Hyderabad was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.7 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction. Tilak
Varma is a promising face in the Indian cricket circuit. He played the U-19
World Cup final for India in the 2020 U-19 World Cup in South Africa. In his IPL
debut, the 19-year-old scored 22 off 15 balls with the help of three
boundaries. He is certainly a youngster to watch out for IPL 2022.
