An active shooter was suspected at Health and Human Services building, in Dallas County, Texas, on Thursday evening. The building was placed on lockdown and the police were responding to the potential shooting scene.
After hearing gunshots on the fifth floor, a source told CBS said that “several persons” had been brought into custody, and added that evacuations are still taking place.

The latest update from the scene is that Marian Brown, the Dallas County Sheriff, said that there is no evidence to suggest the presence of an active shooter in the building. Certain users on Twitter are reporting that the shooter was suspected after an employee in the building heard gunshots which led them to believe that it was an active shooting scene.

As the situation developed, SWAT and DPD teams also entered the building.
There is no news as yet of injuries or any harm to anyone at the building.
