Former NBA star Shawn Kemp was arrested after an alleged drive-by shooting on Wednesday in Washington, reported TMZ Sports.

According to Tacoma authorities, an altercation broke out between two cars at around 2 PM. Gunshots were also fired. One car fled the scene and a gun was recovered by cops. 

Cops say one car fled the scene and a gun was recovered. No injuries were reported. On March 8, 2023, Kemp was arrested in Tacoma, Washington on a drive-by shooting charge.

Shawn Kemp was born on November 26, 1969, in Elkhart, Indiana. The footballer’s full name is Shawn Travis Kemp Sr.

The 53-year-old footballer played for Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Orlando Magic in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Legal problems

The 53-year-old was arrested in 2005 in Shoreline, Washington under a drug possession investigation. Kemp along with another man was found with a small amount of cocaine, around 60 grams of marijuana and a semiautomatic pistol, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
