Samuel Brinton, aged 35, was a former nuclear official in the Biden administration who was chucked out the previous year after they were caught red-handed in a line of luggage thefts was arrested in Rockville, Maryland, at 10 p.m., on Wednesday, as confirmed by the Montgomery County Police Department. Brinton was a former senior from the Department of Energy and was arrested as a “fugitive from Justice”.

As reported by the New York Post, the police record shows Brinton was apprehended on the 700 block of College Parkway as a fugitive from justice. Brinton is non-binary and uses they pronouns. An MCPD spokesperson said, “They are being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit on a no-bond status as they await an extradition hearing”.

The arrest comes one month post they asserted no reluctance to charges emanating from the woman’s luggage theft at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport in July 2022. As a plea deal, Sam was ordered to compensate the woman back and slammed a 180-day suspended jail time.

In December 2022, Brinton was accused of felony theft of items worth between $1,200 and $5,000 by Las Vegas prosecutors. At the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on July 6, police charged Brinton with stealing a suitcase that was estimated to be worth $3,670 in total.

Additionally, a Houston-based Tanzanian woman fashion designer claimed in February that Brinton was wearing her personal creations that were contained in a bag that the woman had reported missing in 2018. And the case was later referred to the FBI.

However, after some days, Brinton consented to undergo mental health evaluation as part of the diversion program at a hearing of charges of theft at Minneapolis-t. Paul International Airport in September 2022.
