A shooting incident in Germantown on Friday night has prompted an investigation by the local police. The Montgomery County Department of Police responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road.

Authorities have confirmed that a fatality occurred as a result of the shooting incident under investigation. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed by the police as of now. The detectives leading the case are treating the shooting as a homicide and are actively pursuing their investigation.
At this stage, the police have not provided any details concerning a potential motive or the events that transpired prior to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials continue to gather information and evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Meanwhile, another shooting incident was reported in Westmoreland County on Friday night resulting in the death of one individual, according to information provided by emergency dispatchers. Additionally, at least four others sustained injuries as a result of the incident.

The shooting occurred on Lowry Avenue in Jeannette, with the report being received shortly before 9:30 pm. The coroner’s office has confirmed the death of a woman as a result of the shooting; however, her identity has not yet been disclosed. Emergency dispatchers relayed that three individuals were transported to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, while a fourth person sought medical attention by walking into AHN Hempfield and was subsequently airlifted to a hospital in Pittsburgh.
