Jonas Vingegaard, the defending Tour de France champion, seems to be all geared up to clinch a second victory this year delivering a riveting performance in the in the individual time trial on Stage 16 this year.
The Danish professional cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeamTeam Jumbo–Visma, did not let up even once during the 22 km route from Passy to Combloux. When Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar headed out for their rides, they were miles ahead of the rest of the competition.
Pogacar made the decision to switch from a time trial bike to a road one with 56km and a steep climb left on the trail which cost him to lose precious time. It also allowed Vingegaard to take the lead and finished 1’ 38” ahead of Pogacar. With five days of the Tour left to go, he is now almost two minutes ahead in the GC standings.

Trine Marie Hansen
Trine Marie Hansen is Jonas’ girlfriend. Professionally, Trine is Danish and works as a marketing manager. They live in Glyngøre. They met when Vingegaard was a rider with Team ColoQuick from 2016 to 2018. At the time, Trine was the team’s marketing manager.
In September 2020, Trine gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Frida. Trine’s mother is Rosa Kildahl Christensen, who became famous after participating in Den store bagedyst in 2017, which is a Danish spin-off of the British televised baking competition, The Great British Bake Off.

Career
Vingegaard started as a youth rider. He made his breakthrough as a senior rider as part of UCI Continental team ColoQuick–Cult in 2016. He broke records in climbs, however, was yet to make his mark on the road. He joined Team Jumbo–Visma in 2019. He impressed at the Tour de Pologne and rode as a domestique for Primož Roglič at the Vuelta a España.
In April 2021, Vingegaard was named as a replacement for Tom Dumoulin in the team’s Tour de France squad. In the Tour, Vingegaard originally rode as a domestique for Roglič. After Roglič crashed and later withdrew, Vingegaard took over in his place. He gained international recognition after dominating on Mont Ventoux, dropping race leader and eventual winner Tadej Pogačar and finished second in the general classification.
Michelle Rasmussen
Vingegaard’s sister is Michelle Rasmussen. The siblings were born to Karina Vingegaard Rasmussen and Claus Vingegaard Rasmussen. Not much is known about her.
