An AMBER Alert was issued by Florida authorities on Friday after an eight-year-old boy went missing from Jacksonville.

The child, identified as Ja’rell Lewis, was last seen in the area of the 2600 block of University Boulevard North in Jacksonville, Florida, the AMBER Alert stated.

Authorities said the boy may be traveling with Terrell Lewis, 37, in a 2006 black Suzuki with Florida license plate, 72BEYB. However, the alert did not reveal who Terrell was and how he was related to the missing child.

Ja’Rell is described as being four feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 80 pounds. The child has black hair and brown eyes. Meanwhile, Terrell is described as being five feet, nine inches tall, 150 pounds, bald, and having brown eyes.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said it is looking for both of them to “ascertain their safety.” In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office said that they are concerned about the duo’s safety after three people were found dead earlier Friday in Jacksonville.

The deceased were involved in a “shooting incident” in the 2600 block of University Blvd. North. All the victims were adults, but have not been identified.

“If located, DO NOT APPROACH. Contact law enforcement immediately,” the notice reads.
