Quinton
de Kock on Sunday smashed 124 off 130 balls against India to help South Africa
set 288 runs target for the visitors in the third and final ODI of the series at the
Newlands, Cape Town. De Kock’s hundred rescued South Africa from early damage
that they incurred after captain Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram and Janneman Malan
were sent packing by Deepak Chahar and a piece of brilliant fielding by captain
KL Rahul. During his well-composed knock, de Kock hit 12 boundaries and two
sixes. This was de Kock’s 17th ODI hundred.
